Rules and Regulations
Membership Procedures
·
Each member
family is required to pay an annual membership fee of $395.00.Checks are made
payable to Westpark Pool and mailed to. There are absolutely no refunds for
membership after May 1st. A fee of $50 will be charged on all
returned checks.
·
A family
membership consist only people of the immediate family and permanently living in
the same house (excluding boarders and domestics). All others must be
accompanied by a member and pay a guest fee of $5.00 per person per day.
·
New member

·
A full time
baby-sitter is a person who babysits for a family member on a regular basis. The
fee for a babysitter is $100.00 for the summer. Verification of a baby-sitters
status will be required in writing and must be submitted with the membership to
PO Box 43512,

H8Y 3C7. Only one
babysitter is permitted per family. Any verification submitted after the pool
opening will require a processing time of up to seven days before the sitter may
be admitted without additional charge. Baby-sitters who do not qualify under the
above guidelines will be required to pay guest fees.
Hours
·
The pool will
open on the first Saturday of June and be open through Labour Day. At the
beginning of the summer and end of the summer there will be some adjustments of
the regular operating hours.
·
The pool hours
are 8:00 AM to 1:00 pm for all teams and lessons and from 1:00 pm
to 9:00 pm for free swim, Monday – Friday & 10:00am -9:00 pm on the
weekends for free swim. The pool will be closed on 2 or 3 Wednesday evenings at
5:00 pm for swim meets, any other event can occur while the pool is still open
Gate Procedure

All members must sign in
and register their guest at the gate.
You will be required to sign in using your pass, and write the names of
all your guests as well as paying for your guests.
No member will be permitted to enter the pool without a pass.
·
The entrance fee
for guests (children or adults) of members shall be $5.00 per person. Anyone
that comes into the pool grounds on false pretences will be asked to leave and
if a member is involved they will also be asked to leave.
·
A guest can only
attend the pool five times for the summer regardless of the number of members
who may invite the guest.
·
Fees shall be
paid to the gate lifeguard during the sign-in process.
·
Guests must be
accompanied at all times by the member who registered them at the gate.
·
Members are
responsible for the conduct and actions of their guests.
·
Members who
violate the above listed “Guest Privilege” rules will be suspended from the
pool. It is the members’ obligation to assure that guest fees are promptly paid
upon arrival and that the guest acts in an appropriate manner while on pool
grounds.
General Rules
·
To enter the pool
each member must show their pass. Nobody will be permitted on the grounds
without a pass or paying a guest fee.
·
Use of the pool
area outside the hours specified is strictly forbidden.
Lifeguards must be present before anyone enters the pool and play areas.
·
Adults are
responsible for the safety of their children in all areas of the main pool and
baby pool. In no case will a child under the age of 12 be admitted without a
parent, or baby-sitter 18 years old.
·
Adults must
closely watch children at all times. An adult must accompany a non-swimmer in
the water at all times ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!! If a lifeguard is not
comfortable with the ability of a swimmer he/she will not be permitted into the
water without an adult.
·
No animals are
permitted in the pool area.
·
In the event of a
power outage & it continues for more than one hour the pool will be closed until
power resumes.
·
As a family pool
with a large number of teens and young children present, it is essential that
all members act appropriately. Please remember that we are setting an example
for our children as well as the children of others. Any inappropriate behaviour
will be severely dealt with by either the manager and/or the Board of Directors.
·
Violations of
rules and regulations may result in being told to leave the
premises.
·
Westpark Pool has
the right to refuse admittance of any member or guest for just cause.
Swimming Pool Rules
·
No food or drinks
will be allowed on the concrete edges of the main and baby pools.
·
No glass
containers are permitted on the pool deck.
·
Showers are
available and members are encouraged to shower prior to entering the pool.
·
Use of profane
language within the pool area is prohibited.
·
There shall be no
dunking or roughhousing in the pool. Non-swimmers are not permitted in the
deep/diving end; this will be at the lifeguard’s discretion. Swimmers are not
allowed in the baby pool.
·
Only swim diapers
covered by rubber pants or swim diapers
may be used in the baby
pool.
Playground
·
An adult must
supervise children at all times while on the playground.
·
No throwing sand,
jumping off equipment or roughhousing permitted.
·
All members are
required to rinse and off before re-entering the pool area
after being in the park.
·
Children play at
their own risk in this area—the lifeguards do NOT
supervise the playgrounds
ONLY the pools.
